Manchester is creating a new city-wide festival celebrating the connection between urban sport, music, art and street culture — bringing together communities, athletes, artists and audiences.

We are seeking four independent Steering Group members, including a Chair, who can help guide the festival as it develops.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people based in the UK with experience in:

  • Marketing, communications and audience development

  • Commercial sponsorship and partnerships

  • Urban sports and culture (including BMX, skateboarding, 3x3 basketball and related disciplines)

  • Manchester’s urban arts and/or street culture communities

You don’t need previous board experience — we are looking for people with knowledge, passion and perspectives that can help shape an ambitious new event.

The roles will begin in September 2026, with meetings taking place every two months in a mix of online and in-person formats.

Guaranteed interview scheme and accessibility

We aim to tackle inequalities in the workplace and society in general; therefore, we will guarantee an interview for anyone declaring a disability in their application and who meets the job’s minimum skills and experience requirements.

If individuals require any reasonable adjustments to be made to enable you to participate in the interview process, or more accessible versions of this document, we commit to supporting those needs.

This commitment extends to successful candidates for the duration of their term as an independent member of the Steering Group.

Applications close on the 16th August 2026.
